So much to say in so little time

WOW!!! It is amazing how time flies. There are so many things to catch up on and never enough time. So here is a brief synopsis of what has happened since...well since Sandra was born.

Sandra is 10 months old and growing so fast. She is getting into everything already. She loves to go around to things that are taller than her and try to do pull-ups on them so she can see what is going on in the bigger world. This last week she did a pull-up on our entry table and everything came tumbling down. She looks like she got into a fight and lost. She is a quick learner though, once something bad happens she knows not to do that same thing again...which is why she has only fallen down the stairs once.

Brooklyn competed in and finished her fall softball season. She won most improved player and truly enjoyed this season. She won three game balls during the season and got more than one hit in every game. She has finished the 2nd grade and for her first week off has spent about 90% of her time running around with her friends. I figured this will be her last time with them, so she might as well make the most of it.

Josh turned 5 years old in April and has finally "grown up" enough to where he is able to play with the bigger kids and not get run over. He is so excited to start kindergarten this next school year! Josh still loves dinosaurs and right now he is really in to Ben 10. It is amazing to see him grow up and look more like his Dad every day.

I have finished my volleyball season. This year I assisted coaching a 17 year old team. Most of the girls were actually 16 but due to the rules they had to play up a year. We had a fun year, did a lot of traveling, came in first place in one tournament in SC, and ended the year on a pretty sad note. Unfortunately John has told me that I can not coach club anymore because of the time it takes me away from the home. (We will see if that remains the same when next year comes around)

John has had several job interviews lately. He had been asked to fly to several different companies for final interviews, but some of them I just had to say no to because I didn't want to live in the middle of no where or in the arctic cold. So when I did finally say yes to one, he got the job. Which means we are moving...again. Where to this time? Phoenix, Arizona!!! John got a job at the PetSmart Corporate office doing the same kid of work he is doing at his current job, but with better perks all the way around. I am not sure if his dad would be happy or upset about this job though. He had always wanted someone in the family to be a veterinarian like him. Well that didn't happy, so either he likes that this is about as close to working with animals as John is going to get or he is upset because he thought that PetSmart would put him out of business when they moved in to Orem (luckily that did not happen).

So now that we are moving, it is a mad dash to get our house cleaned up so real estate agents can come and do their analysis of our home and try to get it sold. Luckily we don't have to do any of the moving or selling we just have to get everything set up and ready to go. John is leaving me next week so I am a little stressed to have to handle a lot of the stuff on my own, but he has his own stresses of finding us a new place to live in Arizona. So if you know anyone who is looking for a house in Indian Trial, send 'em my way, I think we may need all the help we can get at this point so we can move on.

Over the last five or so years I've been involved in an unsuccessful Don Quijote-like effort trying to convince government representatives and Internet industry leaders to provide a general community Internet alternative that is in compliance with existing federal obscenity laws meant to protect minors. I strongly believe that families, parents and others ought to at least have this as an alternative. Awhile ago an aide to Senator Boxer suggested I try to get some compelling grass roots support going. So I've finally decided to give that the old college by means of a petition drive.
